Spanish government may sue the worldwide known VOD company Netflix for their new comedy flick "Ibiza" which they shoot in CROATIA *Sighs*

In all angles everything seems to be wrong in this project I can say. If you are shooting a project called Ibiza and even though it's a scripted project you should not give any wrong information right.

Reportedly, the Ibiza government has already started the process and opened a lawsuit against the filmmaker and Netflix, stating that Ibiza and its brand should've been featured in the namesake film, rather than using Croatian backdrops under the guise of the famed Mediterranean island.

If we need to talk about the synopsis; three friends from New York who leave the city to explore the enticing world of nightclubs on the mystical island, with one character sparking up a romantic relationship with a world-famous DJ. Gillian Jacobs, Vanessa Bayer, Phoebe Robinson and Richard Madden star in the film, which is directed by Alex Richanbach and written by Lauryn Kahn. 'Ibiza' is also releasing today.

I'd be curious to know if they were ever offered a Tax Incentive. It is definitely cheaper to film in Croatia and you get a good tax rebate on that, Spain does not have a great film incentive program so I can see why they decided to do that.

wow, it is interesting how they care about the brand Ibiza and are willing to sue Netflix for this.
