DISCO FEVER! NILE RODGERS AND CHIC IS READY TO RELEASE THEIR FIRST ALBUM IN 25 YEARS

We've been waiting for this for a really long time. Finally Nile Rodgers and CHIC's first album in 25 years has a release date. The album called 'It's About Time' will be released on September 7 via Virgin EMI.

In the album we'll be able to find an eclectic range of collaboratiors including, Anderson .Paak, Craig David, Stefflon Don and Roc Nation’s Vic Mensa.

The album's cover is also pretty interesting. It features the worldwide known models Duckie Thot and Jazzelle Zanaughtt with a glossy, silver CHIC writing.

About the album the legendary guitar player and composer Nile Rodgers said: “When I first came up with the concept for the first CHIC album cover more than 40 years ago it was a deliberate statement that we could all be abundant, we could all be with the beautiful people, we could all be included, we could all have good times.

“Looking at the world today for the release of “It’s About Time” I felt that it was important to make those statements again for a new generation."

In 2016, Rodgers was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and entered the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2017 which I believe is a late honor that given to the Mr. Rodgers after all of his works.

The group is currently touring the UK and performed its new track ‘Boogie All Night’ on Jools Holland, which features NAO’s soaring vocals and Guernsey-raised producer Mura Masa. Check out the video below.
